The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday with a new home.
The 2013 version of the popular market will be located at Charles Clark Square located off of Chatham Street East, by City Hall. The market was forced to find a new home after their current site at the old bus depot was purchased by the University of Windsor.
Opening weekend events include a live chef demo and entertainment.
New market neighbor, All Saints’ Anglican Church will also open up their doors in celebration of opening day. They will have free activities for the kids, including art activities, bell-ringing at 10 am, 11 am, and 12 pm. Church tours will take place from 10 am to noon. Listen to an organ practice, or just enjoy a moment of peace and quiet in the church.
The market will run every Saturday between 8am and 1pm.
Both the Amherstburg Farmers’ Market and the Riverside Farmers’ Market have already begun their season.
