Woman Pulls Out Into Traffic, Strikes Three Cars, Hits Tree

Windsor Police have charged a 42-year-old woman with careless driving after she caused an accident this morning and then hit a tree.

Police say that the woman driving a Toyota Corolla was pulling out of her driveway in the 3100 block of Dominion. Traffic at that time of the morning was busy, and she cut through traffic which was stopped southbound on Dominion.

As she entered the northbound lane she struck a 1995 Chevrolet, careened off of it striking a 2008 Pontiac and a 2012 Chrysler. Damage to the three vehicles is estimated at $2500.

The woman then continued along the sidewalk where she drove up onto the lawn striking the tree.

Police say that fortunately there were no injuries for any of the drivers and fortunately there was no one on the sidewalk.
