Upon arrival officers found the same suspect looking into the window of a Ford pick up truck. The suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property, and subsequent to arrest was found in possession of items stolen from inside the Ford truck. There was no damage caused to either vehicle.
A 44 year old male of Windsor faces 2 charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
The Windsor Police Service would like to remind members of the community to always roll up their windows and lock their vehicles’ doors. An open window or an unlocked door provides an opportunity for thieves to steal property from a vehicle, or the vehicle itself. Valuables within a vehicle should always be kept out of sight. We also encourage members of the public to report suspicious persons or vehicles to the police.
