Windsor Police Arrest Two Toronto Crack Dealers, Seize Handguns

Windsor Police have two men in custody and are currently searching for a third male on drugs and weapon charges.

Acting on a tip, police arrested two men on foot, Monday afternoon, in the 1600 block of California Avenue, just off of Tecumseh Road West. A subsequent search of one suspect revealed that he had 12.85 grams of crack cocaine in his possession.

Police then transported both to Police Headquarters where a more extensive search was executed on the second suspect. As a result of that search, officers located 0.21 grams of crack cocaine hidden between the suspect’s buttocks.

Police also received information that the suspects’ were staying at a motel located in the 2000 block of Huron Church Road. Police attended the hotel and executed search warrants in two separate rooms resulting in a seizure of a white powdery substance that will be submitted for forensic testing.

Officers also recovered two handguns in one of the motel rooms described as a black and silver Ruger semi-automatic pistol and a Smith and Wesson Revolver. A digital scale was also located.

The value of the Crack Cocaine seized totaled $1306.00.

Abdinasir Mohamud Yusuf aged 25 years of Toronto is in custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose, three counts of Fail to Comply with Condition of Judicial Release, two counts of Possession of a Restricted Weapon and two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm.

Ahmed Hassan Farah aged 29 years of Toronto is in custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose, Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking to an Officer, two counts of Possession of a Restricted Weapon and two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm.

A Warrant for arrest has been issued for Sahal Mohammed Sahal aged 26 years of Toronto for two counts of Possession of a Restricted Weapon, two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm and four counts of Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited.

Police say that the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be laid.
