Windsor saw its first big storms of the Summer this past Wednesday, with heavy winds causing wide-spread power outages and bringing many trees down.
A lightning strike on Tuesday afternoon was responsible for a serious house fire in a classically designed brick home at 664 Moy Avenue.
Windsor Police are searching for a suspect after a “Molotov cocktail” incendiary device was thrown onto the driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of Francois Road around 8:20pm Monday night. Witnesses were able to extinguish the flames which had spread to a nearby lawn before police arrived.
Firefighters were called to a fire inside a materials storage building in the 1100 block of Westcott Street on the City’s east side, Thursday night. Investigators have determined that the fire was arson and it caused $250,000 in damage.
Windsor Police arrested a 14 year old girl Wednesday night for making death threats against another 14 year old female known to her. Police say that these threats were conveyed via the victim’s Facebook page.
