Serial Kingsville Jewellery Thief Caught by OPP

OPP have a Windsor man in custody in relation to several county break and enters over the past few months.

OPP say the first occurred on May 8th around 12 noon in Kingsville in a residence in the 200 block of Applewood Road.

A quantity of jewellery and a computer was taken from the residence.

Then on Thursday May 30th, OPP say that a residence in the 10 block of Katie Crescent in Kingsville was broken into through a basement window that had been smashed with a rock.

A quantity of men’s and ladies jewellery was taken along with a quantity of money.

On Friday June 11th around 12noon a break and enter in the 500 block of County Road 20 in Kingsville saw select prescription medication, a quantity of money, and jewellery stolen.

The unknown male was observed as acting suspicious by a man that was working in the area.

He was described as white male, approximately in his mid 50’s with grey hair (lower ear length), scruffy, glasses, blue shirt, beige shorts, ball cap and an apparent tooth or teeth sticking out and forward.

Through police investigation the identity of the male was determined and a warrant was subsequently issued for the male’s arrest.

On Sunday July 29th members of the Essex County Street Crimes Unit were able to locate the male in the City of Windsor.

Joseph Moore aged 46 from Windsor was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada, three counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance, two counts of Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence and two counts of Fraud Under $5000.
