Windsor Police have a male and female in custody facing charges after an apartment was broken into and two people were assaulted earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Police were called to an apartment at 1250 Ouellette where police were met by a man and woman who had both sustained non-life threatening injuries consistent with being struck with a baseball bat. Both were transported to hospital where they were treated and released.
The victims told police that they had been beaten by a former tenant of the building as a result over an earlier dispute relating to a drug transaction.
Detectives were able to identify the suspects responsible for the assault and Wednesday evening police officers attended a residence located in the 4700 block of Malden Road in LaSalle and arrested both suspects without incident.
Alexander Garrett age 19 and Christiane Bober age 34, both of LaSalle are charged with Break and Enter and Assault With a Weapon.
Police say both will appear in Provincial court today to answer to the charges.
