For over sixty years, Windsor Light Music Theatre has brought Broadway-style entertainment to Windsor. Through talented cast and crew, and dedicated volunteers, they bring elaborate stage performances to life, twice a year.

They have just moved their next show from their practice space in the city’s east-end to the Chrysler Theatre on Riverside Drive, where the show will open on May 4th.

Legally Blonde, The Musical is an ambitious production based on the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon. In 2007 it’s Broadway adaptation premiered to much acclaim, and now WLMT has taken on the task of it’s performance. With 26 cast members, 14 in the chorus, 10 in the orchestra, two dogs, plus innumerable backstage crew and volunteers, this is set to be quite the show.

The plot follows sorority girl, Elle Woods (Danielle Wade) as she decides to take on Harvard Law School in the hopes of reconciling with her boyfriend (Matt McCarthy).  After a rocky start, Elle really gets into her studying, proving to herself and everyone else that she can do more than swipe Daddy’s credit card. In this feel-good comedy about self-acceptance audiences will be treated to 18 Tony Award nominated songs, and a flashy show of pink and blonde.

Legally Blonde, The Musical will be running at The Chrysler Theatre (201 Riverside Dr. W.) on may 4th and 5th at 8pm, 6th at 2 pm, 11th and 12th at 8 pm, and closing on May 13th at 2 pm. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here. There is even the chance to win a pair of tickets to opening night.
