Artspeak Gallery and The ACWR Host Local Independent Film Screening

Art Council Windsor & Region (ACWR)  presented their first local independent film screening yesterday Monday, March 5th from 7pm – 9pm. With an unexpected surge of individuals making the event, space was limited but not the content! With over 10 films screened to a public audience, the message was clear- Windsor has a platform and need for the creative arts!  With many of the film directors having studied at the University of Windsor different topics were covered and showcased in an artistic variety. Hosted at Artspeak gallery in Old Walkerville, the gallery is trying to broaden their horizons. Having limited the gallery space in the past, Artspeak is making an effort to include and welcome all forms of art and last night film was one of them. With exciting upcoming events like the Artists in the Community/Workplace (AICW) program Info Session on March 14th, the news needs to be spread ART SPEAK!
