72-Year-Old Attempts to Murder Victim With Car on Highway 3

On Monday evening at around 7:30pm, Tecumseh OPP were called to a hit and run collision that occurred at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Highway 3 in the Town of Tecumseh.

Police say that a grey Ford Taurus rear-ended a red Chevrolet Cavalier that was stopped for a red light. The driver of the red Cavalier got out of his vehicle and the driver of the Taurus drove into him, causing him to fall to the roadway where he was subsequently ran over by the Taurus. The driver of the Taurus then fled the scene.

Several witnesses at the scene were able to get the license plate of the Ford Taurus, and as a result, Johnny Bulat aged 72 of Windsor was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with:
Attempted Murder
Dangerous Operation – Motor Vehicle
Breach of Recognizance
Criminal Harassment – beset and watch complainant
Fail to Remain at Scene of Accident

The male victim age 59 from Windsor was transported to Hotel Dieu with non-life threatening injuries.
