Windsorites learned of two major business closings this week. Charly’s Brew Pub at the corner of Tecumseh Road East and Pillette will be closing for good on April 20th. As well, the Zellers located on Huron Line will begin its store wide liquidation sale on Friday March 16th and close for good on June 2nd.

Windsor City Council dealt with two big issues at its meeting this past Tuesday. First was to give the go ahead for a St. Patrick’s day celebration at the old bus depot downtown, despite objections from some merchants. The second was that the city would secure the old Grace Hospital building via chain link fence and seal off openings to the building.

A drug bust in Windsor has one man in custody facing charges after police raided an apartment on University Avenue West and found just over 900 grams of cannabis marihuana as well as other items consistent with drug trafficking. Meanwhile in the county OPP arrested three men after seizing approximately 4000 marihuana plants and paraphernalia.

The Price is Right Live is coming to the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor for four days between June 27th and 30th 2012.They will have shows each night at 8pm, and a special matinee show at 3pm on Thursday, June 28th.

Spencer’s the “source for unique and funny gifts” opened Thursday at Devonshire Mall.
