Police Seize $3700 in Cocaine From Toronto Man in West Windsor

Windsor Police have a 25-year-old Toronto man in custody facing drug related charges after a vehicle stop in the city’s west side last night.
Police officers assigned to the PAVIS – Provincial Anti Violence Intervention Strategy – Unit received information that a Toronto man was in the Windsor area for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and officers commenced an investigation and identified a vehicle that the suspect was driving.
Just after 8pm, officers located the suspect’s vehicle eastbound on Totten Street from Daytona Street. The Emergency Services Unit stopped the vehicle on Totten Street near Partington Avenue and arrested the driver without incident.
A subsequent search of the driver revealed over 18 grams of powder cocaine and 18 grams of crack cocaine hidden in the driver’s coat pocket. Officers also located a digital scale in the suspect’s coat pocket which was seized.
The value of the seized cocaine totaled $3762.
Adrian Richards of Toronto is in custody facing two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
