Rescue workers rush to pull a women from the Detroit River on Monday.

Drama played out under the Ambassador Bridge Monday morning, as emergency personal scrambled to rescue a woman who jumped in the water at the foot of Sunset.  She was pulled from the river at Chewitt Park.  She latter passed away in Hospital.

Windsor Police put an end to a purse snatching string in the downtown core.  On Monday police arrested two 17 year olds in connection to the four incidents.

Campus Community Police sent out a crime alert after several incidents of vehicles being damaged and items being taken from parked vehicles on campus.

Work on the new border road moved along with the new Spring Garden Road detour route opened.

Lots of new development was in the news this week.  Windsor Rubber Processing is a new Windsor business that will be opening at 1680 Kildare Road in South Walkerville which specializes in recyling used tires into powdered rubber. Their product is used for athletic fields, garden mulch and as playground covering.

The owners of Walker Road’s Pioneer gas station at 3472 Walker Road are planning to expand their property.  While the Children’s Aid Society plans an expansion as well.
