The New Year started out on a tragic note in the area as a mother of three passed away after being involved in a car accident New Years Eve at Walker Road and South Talbot Road in Tecumseh.  OPP have charged 27-year-old Cole Rickett of Amherstburg with 4 counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

The World Under-17 Hockey Challenge took place in Windsor and Essex County this past week.  Russia took home the Gold and Team Ontario took home the bronze medal.

Caesars Windsor announced some big acts coming to town in March.  Burton Cummings, Celtic Crossroads and Kenny Rogers are all headed to the Colosseum.

Big changes were announced for the Windsor Police force on Friday.  These changes are all aimed at making the force one of open, transparent, accountable and responsible policing.

The Palace Cinemas in Downtown Windsor will be serving up its last buckets of popcorn today as it shuts its doors for good to make way for the block to be re developed.

The University’s old Dramatic Arts Building will be demolished after sitting idle since the Jackman Dramatic Art Centre opened in September 2003.
