The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is looking to City Council to once again waive fees for businesses that extend their patios during nice-weather seasons.

Chair of the DWBIA Virginia Cosco-Pizzuti writes in a letter to City Council that “In 2011…these sidewalk cafes were bustling and helped create an appealing, pedestrian-friendly and vibrant urban environment that attracted locals and visitors alike”.

City Council waived fees for sidewalk cafes in 2011 which made for a friendly urban environment during events such as Balloonapalooza, Ribfest, Summerfest, fireworks and others.
