21-Year Old Charged After Fatal Riverside Drive Crash

A 21-year-old Windsor woman is facing a charge of Impaired Driving Causing Death after a fatal motor vehicle collision early Sunday morning on the city’s east side.
Police along with Fire and Paramedics responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 10800 block of Riverside Drive East Sunday morning at 2:45am Police found a 2007 Dodge pickup truck just off the roadway on the north side.
The truck had sustained extensive damage as a result of colliding with a construction truck and trailer which had been parked on the north side of Riverside Drive.
A 23-year-old male passenger in the pickup truck suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 21-year-old female driver of the pickup truck was transported to Hotel Dieu Hospital with non-life threatening injuries where she currently remains.
Police report that the truck had been travelling eastbound on Riverside Drive passing Sand Point Beach when the vehicle lost control and skidded a considerable distance prior to striking the parked truck and trailer.
Police say that all the vehicles involved in the collision were destroyed and the damages are estimated to be in excess of $60,000.
Stephanie Bravo, aged 21 years from Windsor is charged with Impaired Driving Causing Death. The investigation is continuing. Windsor Police are seeking the assistance of any additional witnesses to this occurrence.
