The Windsor Police Service Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted a city wide traffic enforcement campaign in various locations in the City of Windsor on Wednesday. Police say they laid 75 charges.
Windsor Police are currently investigating as to whether an early morning fire at a South Windsor car dealership Thursday is connected to an independent, ongoing investigation. The Windsor Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police in cooperation with the Motor Vehicle Industry Council are actively involved in a “Joint Forces Operation”. This investigation involves two businesses located within the City of Windsor identified as “Big 3 Pre-Owned Auto Sales” located at 1707 Tecumseh Rd. W. as well as “Five Diamond Motors” located at 925 Provincial Road where the fire was.
The CJAM pledge drive kicked off Friday, and continues for seven days. During this time, the station will be reaching out to the community asking for donations that will help to keep things running for the next twelve months.
