This week windsoriteDOTca introduced the candidates running in the provincial election in Windsor West and in Windsor-Tecumseh.

On the police beat this week, Windsor Police issued a warning about a “Mystery shopper” scam that has once again resurfaced.  While on the 401 OPP spent two days investigating shots that were fired at one vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

On Windsor’s west side a serious assault took place that put a 25-year-old man in the hospital and had police looking for four suspects.  By the end of the week all those involved had been arrested.

Windsor Police are seeking the assistance of the public after an elderly man was robbed downtown on August 24, 2011, and they released a photo of him taken from a bank surveillance camera.  Meanwhile at the University, Campus Police are looking for a suspect who stole a laptop bag from the Student Center.

The Windsor Spitfires took on the Saginaw Spirit Thursday, and took the win 3 to 2.
