Police Investigating Erie Street Assault

Windsor Police are investigating after a 56-year-old man was assaulted at an Erie Street Cafe yesterday afternoon.  At 2:30 pm Windsor Paramedics were called to the Angolo Blu Cafe located  at 1210 Erie Street East for a report of a male who had been assaulted.  Upon arrival,they located a man inside the business laying on the floor unconscious.  The man had suffered a laceration to the back of his head.

The victim was transported to Hotel- Dieu Hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Windsor Police responded to the cafe and learned through investigation that an altercation had taken place inside the Cafe between the victim and two other male patrons resulting in the injuries to the victim.  Officers arrested a 61-year-old man as well as a 52-year-old man, both of Windsor for assault.

The investigation is continuing and charges of assault are pending against both suspects.
