Windsor Police are searching for four suspects after a series of three robberies occurred early this morning all on the city’s east side.

First  1:10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, police were called to the intersection of Little River Road at Riverdale Street for a report of a robbery.  Officers were met by two 18 year old men who advised that they were sitting on a bench next to the sidewalk when they observed a maroon coloured Dodge Caravan drive by them and then park nearby.  They watched as three men exited the van while the driver stayed inside the vehicle.  The three men approached the two victims demanding their wallets and cell phones. The victim’s refused and the suspects began punching the victims about the head.  The suspects took wallets and a cell phone belonging to one of the victims before running back to the van and leaving the area west on Little River Road.  The two victims did not require medical treatment.

An hour later, at 2:10 a.m., police were called to  the 6500 block of Tecumseh Road East where they were met by a 19 year old man who advised officers that he had been walking on the north sidewalk in the 6500 block of Tecumseh Road East when 4 men approached him from behind, grabbed the Adidas Duffel bag he was carrying and began punching him.  The suspects stole the bag containing an I Phone and several other items before fleeing the area northbound on foot.  The victim did not require medical treatment.

Finally, an hour later at 3:05 a.m, a 25 year old man was walking eastbound on the north sidewalk of Tecumseh Road at Pierre Street when four men standing across the street ran across the street and began punching him demanding money.  The suspects took a cell phone from the victim’s pant pocket.  The suspects ran eastbound from the scene and got into a maroon coloured Dodge Caravan and sped away eastbound on Tecumseh Road.  The victim received a small laceration to his forehead but declined medical treatment.

Investigators believe that the same group of suspects are responsible for all three robberies and are asking that anyone having any information regarding these robberies to call Windsor Police Investigations at 519-255-6700 ext 4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477).
