Drug Bust and Stunt Driving Keep Windsor Police Busy

Windsor Police have laid a number of drug related charges after executing a search warrant in the city’s west end on Tuesday evening. Officers from the Drugs and Guns Unit executed a search warrant at 202 Josephine St. During the search of the residence, officers located and seized quantities of crack cocaine, cocaine and cannabis marijuana. Officers also seized a quantity equipment associated with drug trafficking and a quantity of cash. The value of the drugs seized totalled $3762.00.
Charged are Alvin Robinson, 30 years of Windsor, with 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine For the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cannabis Marijuana, and 5 counts of Failing to Comply with a Condition of a Judicial Release, and Billie Jean Wilkins, 27 years of Windsor, with charged with 2 counts of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Marijuana
On Wednesday, May 11, 2011, an officer assigned to the Windsor Police Service Traffic Enforcement Unit was conducting speed enforcement on the Expressway at Jefferson. He clocked a westbound car travelling 163 km/hr in the posted 100 km/hr zone. The driver, 24 yr old Wayne Pertas of Windsor was stopped and charged under the Provincial Stunt Driving Legislation. His parents’ 2009 Dodge Calibre was impounded for 7 days and his licence was suspended for seven days.
