Coming off an 8-1 loss Tuesday night the Spits were ready to take on the Attack on their home ice.  Thursday night at the WFCU Center the Windsor Spitfires faced off once again against the Owen Sound Attack.  Windsor was up 1-0 after a goal from Tom Kuhnhackl just 43 seconds into the first period, the Attack’s Joey Hishon was able to tie the game 1-1 before heading into the second period.

During the second period on a 5-3 powerplay Owen Sound acquired a 2-1 lead.  The powerplay was from a questionable double minor penalty to Kassian and a hooking penalty to Taylor Carnevale.  Just two minutes into the third period Kassian scored the game winning goal.  Tom Kuhnhackl added his second of the night scoring on the Attack’s empty net in the final minutes of play to make the final score 4-2.

The Spits are on the road Saturday night in Owen Sound and then back Monday night for Game 4.
