Last night at Phog lounge was an awesome celebration of the celebration of the arts in Windsor. Four years ago to the day the first ever Harvesting the F.A.M. festival was held.  Since then, the fest has grown to span an entire week and flood Windsor’s downtown with the best in music, film, fashion, and art to be found in the city.

To celebrate the roots of Windsor’s largest inter-arts festival the night was kicked off with an official screening of the film Exit Through The Gift Shop. An extremely fitting tale for the night, it follows one man’s path as he steps into the world of street art as a camera-toting lackey, and then cannonballs into the seen as an artist, forcing himself upon the world and gaining instant stardom. This guy’s original plan was just to catch the infamous English street artist Banksy on film, but this is what it turned into. Exit Through the Gift Shop displays the do-it-yourself attitude and passion for art that is the essence of FAM, making this hilarious and thought-provoking film the ultimate inclusion in the festivities.

After the screening, the music commenced. Kicked off by the electronic stylings of (wh)y m.e.(??), the stage was then taken over by James O-L who was followed by the haunting acoustic melodies of Tara Watts. A handful of past FAM participants then took over the stage for a jam session, and the music continued into the night.
