The Windsor Parade Corporation will be before council tonight looking for council to support a sponsorship request for the amount of $3,817. This will cover the costs of insurance, barricades, special event permit, road closures and noise by-law. If council does approve this, the money will come out of the Budget Stabilization Reserves. This year’s parade which draws over 60,000 kicks off at 6pm on December 4th 2010 starting at Bridge Ave and runs along Riverside Drive ending at Brock Street in Sandwich Towne.
The first meeting of council will be set tonight. It will be held at the Chrysler Theatre at 7:00pm on Monday December 6th. This will be the official swearing in of council and Mayor Eddie Francis will deliver his inaugural Address.
As windsoriteDOTca told you FIRST last week, Fred’s Farm Fresh will be before council tonight, to get approval for their new location. Jeff Slopen, Solicitor, representing applicant, and Jason Grossi, architect are both scheduled to speak.
