Hello time traveller!!
This article is 4958 days old.
The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

Windsor’s annual festival celebrating all things film, art and music starts this Friday, October 1st. With ten participating venues, and a myriad of performances and exhibits, the 5th annual Harvesting the FAM Festival is sure to provide some stimulation for every culture-loving Windsorite out there.

This year’s festival is spread out over eight days, from the 1st of October to the 9th. You can catch local bands playing almost every night at Phog, Milk, FM Lounge, The Loop or the Coach & Horses. Films made by homegrown filmmakers will screen at Phog and Milk on the 3rd and the 6th, and an interactive art exhibit will take place at Milk on the 5th.

Not to be missed is the “F” Is For Fashion Show, happening at The Loop on Friday, the 8th. Featuring fashions by Windsor designers such as Big Fish Small Pond, Denial, Cardigan Kid and Spotvin Creative (among many other talented folks), this will be a fantastic display of what’s current in the Windsor fashion scene. Music for the evening will be provided by Furs, Kero, Vex and DJ Stephen Hargreaves.

For something a little less formal, check out the FAM Jam on Monday, October 4th. An open mic session lead by George Bozanich (or is it Tara Watts?) will bring together music makers of all sorts, and local artist Dave Kant will lead a collaborative sketching session. Both of these events are being held at Phog at 10pm.

There’s no way I could possibly list all the events here, so be sure to check out the FAM Fest schedule on their website. But I should mention one little thing. Every single event in this festival is absolutely FREE. So get out there next week and sample the crops, people. ‘Tis the reaping season!
