The Vintage House is home to treasures from an era gone by.

The store, which has been open for just over a year, sells furniture, home accessories, clothing (including hats, gloves and coats), jewellery, lamps, dishes, china, toys and many other historic items, such as sweetheart handkerchiefs from World War II.

China cabinets are full of tiny trinkets, rhinestone jewellery and of course – china. A dining room table is adorned with glass dishes and beaded lamps, while a blue wardrobe holds a collection of vintage furs. Mannequins wear flowered hats and plaid skirts with warm sweaters.

In a corner, where a wooden sled rests against the wall, you’ll find a collection of nostalgic toys: gyroscopes, kazoos, slide whistles and sock monkeys.

Whether you’re looking to add a vintage look to your wardrobe, a piece of beautiful furniture for your home or a small treasure to remind you of a time now past, you’ll be sure to find something to suit your needs at The Vintage House.

The Vintage House is located at 4667 Wyandotte Street East. You can visit them on Facebook or call 519-944-9685. The store is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am until 4pm.
