What was once two stores is now combined in this Pillette Village shop. The floors are covered in rugs and the walls are full of artwork for sale. There are cabinets overflowing with beaded jewellery, a cloth dressmaker’s dummy covered in vintage brooches and shelves displaying antique treasures.

Sally S. Taylor, Tango and Magpie’s owner, takes great care to arrange beautiful displays by colour scheme. A blue cabinet is full of blue tea cups, vases and flowers, with a beaded vintage dress hanging from its corner. A white wicker baby buggy sits nearby a white table and a collection of Christening gowns.

A mannequin wearing a red wool coat with fur trim stands sentry next to a large collection of second-hand books. All proceeds from the book sales benefit the local cancer centre radiation department.

Tango should be a destination on any vintage and antique hunter’s map. There are great finds around every corner and in every perfectly arranged cabinet.
