The Kids Shoppe, located at 2950 Dougall Avenue, had their grand opening on July 16th.

For the past few weeks they have been collecting merchandise at the children’s and maternity resale shop. The large store had filled up fast with racks of clothing, toys, books, and other children necessities, such as strollers and high chairs.

The Kids Shoppe is unique because they don’t work on consignment – customers are free to come in anytime during store hours with their gently used children and maternity items and receive cash or store credit. No appointments are necessary and customers can bring any season of clothing. Their system offers a great service for busy moms and dads to make instant money from items their children have outgrown.

The store is well organized, with clothing organized by size and gender and neatly hanging on racks. Shelves of toys line the back wall – many still in their original packaging. The store does carry some new items, including toys by Melissa & Doug and car seats featuring super heroes and Disney princesses.

They are open Monday – Wednesday from 10am – 7pm, Thursday and Friday from 10am – 8pm, Saturday from 10am – 6pm, and Sunday from Noon – 5pm.
