Rouge Salon and Spa has been in the heart of South Windsor for six years.

Owner Katie Czarnecki has been experimenting with hair for twelve years, and always had a dream of opening her own salon. “Being young and inspired made me very motivated to work towards that dream.”

With numerous salons in the surrounding area, Czarnecki does not see them as competition. She believes every hair dresser is talented, and will always find their own clientele that are dedicated to the shop and their stylist like she has with her own. “I love what I do, and my clients come to me because of my hard work. And most importantly, I make them feel good about themselves when they leave.”

The salon name, Rouge, was influenced by Czarnecki’s interior design choices; with a clean, modern look, and touches of red accents. “It’s bold and passionate; something I’ll never lose in my life.”

A love for all things hair, and the colour of excitement, Czarnecki knew the name suited well.

Rouge is an authorized reseller of various products from Redken, Schwarzkopf and Moroccan Oil.

The salon offers a variety of hair care services such as cut, colour, styling and extensions. Services also include nail care and having your make-up done by freelance make-up artists (for occasions such as wedding parties).

Rouge Salon and Spa is located at 3090 Dougall Ave. It is open from 10am–8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am–6pm Wednesdays and Fridays, and 8am–4pm on Saturdays.

Rouge is currently looking for a Esthetician and asks anyone interested to bring in resumes to the shop location.
