Golden, honey-like, sunlight melting through the finely embroidered curtain and a soft Rod Stewart ‘s ‘The way you look tonight’ floating in the air. This is the absolute perfect place to bring your friends for their birthdays, bring your loved one on Valentine’s Day, your kids on a Sunday morning for a sweet treat or just bring yourself for a nice tall glass of Chai Tea Latte or better yet, the best crêpes you’ll ever have.

There is something ‘je ne sais quoi’ about Crêpe Temptations in Cottam. Though I can’t quite define it, it may very well be the ‘petit bistro’ atmosphere or just the fact that Daniel and Kim – the owners and chefs – are the perfect hosts who will transcend you into a whole new world of creaminess delight and flavourful enchantment.

Whether you’re looking for something sweet or savoury or very special, made by an authentic Quebecois (Daniel) or a more modern take on the English pancake (Kim), every item on the list will leave your tummy (and more than likely, your soul) full and a smile on your face.

Daniel and Kim opened their business in 2007 and you’ve probably seen them around at the Strawberry Fest, Harrow Fair or Carrousel of Nations. It’s not only that they use local products from local farmers, their recipes are quite original and they make their own maple syrup. Their little crêperie is full of beautiful photographs by a local artist, Marissa Labbé, and they also have live music Sundays featuring Chris Osborne.

From Crêpe Benedict to Quiche du Jour from Ploughman’s Lunch to Chocolate Hazelnut Crêpe with Ginger Ice Cream, their food is fresh and delicious, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed.

Crêpe Temptations is located at 126 County Rd 34 W in Cottam, and, as it is a family run business they are open mostly towards the end of the week with flexible hours. Give them a call at 519-839-6363 and visit when you get that special craving. Bon Appétit!
