Three years this August marks the opening anniversary of this old-fashioned barber shop. A quaint escape for gentlemen to venture for a hair cut and a hot shave.

That’s where Denise Moore and Katie O’Sullivan step in – with “Manscape.”

After working in other salons for 6 years, O’Sullivan tried her hand at barbering. There she met Moore, and the two joked about opening their own shop one day. A small joke turned into a big dream when Moore developed the name and O’Sullivan created the signature moustache logo design. Later, they brought on former co-worker, Jamie Elmer, and together as a team opened Manscape.

“We pride on being local, as we all went to schools in Windsor,” states O’Sullivan of her fellow team members. She attended St. Clair College, Moore attended Marvel Beauty, and Elmer attended the Windsor Barbering School (which unfortunately has since closed.)

Where O’Sullivan did not get the chance to learn about the art that is hot shaves, Moore was blessed with the opportunity. If you’re looking for the most professional shave imaginable, involving a hot towel and a straight razor, Moore is the lady you’re looking for.

When asked about competition and location, O’Sullivan spoke proudly; “There is no competition with other local shops. We always get new clients – and that is what’s nice about being in a residential neighbourhood, people can walk over at anytime.”
