Join ERCA and the Holiday Beach Migration Observatory at the Hillman Marsh Conservation Area to take in flocks of migrating shorebirds feeding in the mudflats along the trail. Event runs 10am to 3pm.

Special event entry fee of $10/car applies.

This year’s event features a wide variety of family-friendly offerings:

-a May 10 visit with the University of Guelph’s Wild Ontario team of live birds and educators (made possible with a grant from the Gosling Foundation)

-learn about banding birds and birding from Bob Pettit and other experts from the Holiday Beach Migration Observatory

-enjoy a Mother’s Day craft and a “walk like a shorebird” kids’ activity

-take a flat bird hike for children and beginner birders

-snap some photos during a workshop with an expert from Henry’s Windsor

-identify shorebirds with the Ontario Field Ornithologists‘ Jean Iron

-dine on some delicious food with BlackJack GastroVan on-site offering hot meals

-stick around Hillman Marsh for the Ontario Field Ornithologists’ Shorebird Nights
