SYNOPSIS: The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairy tale about wishes, family, and the choices we make. When a Witch tasks a Baker and his Wife with procuring magical items from classic fairy tales to reverse the curse she placed on their family tree, the two set off on an unforgettable journey into the woods. They are joined by Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival to meet her Prince; Little Red Riding Hood, off to bring some treats to her poor old granny; and Jack, who is on a mission to sell his beloved cow. Wishes are granted, curses are reversed, and the heroes of our story learn to be careful what you wish for.

“The material of ‘Into the Woods’ is potent stuff – as old as time, or least as old as fairy tales… Mr. Sondheim’s lyrics and Mr. Lapine’s book tap into the psychological mother lode from which so much of life and literature spring… the conception is brilliant.” – The New York Times.
