WHAT

Join the children’s space author and SkyNews Magazine contributing editor Peter McMahon for a weekend of space exploration at Point Pelee National Park.

By day, check out the surface of the sun through a specially filtered telescope and journey through the universe in a travelling planetarium.

By night, explore the beauty of Canada’s Dark Sky preserves in a special theatre presentation and then experience Point Pelee’s Dark Sky Preserve – you’ll have a chance to see the rings of Saturn and gaze at some of the 200 billion stars of the Milky Way.

Theatre presentations and planetarium shows will take place rain or shine

Saturday, July 26
11 am – 12pm View the Surface of the Sun, Visitor Centre Parking Lot
1 – 5 pm Planetarium Shows – Visitor Centre Transit Loop – tours start every 30 minutes.
7:30 pm – Wilderness Astronomy: Campsite stargazing in Canada’s Wild Spaces, in the Visitor Centre theatre
9 pm – 12 am – Planet and Star Gazing

Sunday, July 27
