Welcome to windsoriteDOTca!  We’re a new Windsor newsblog focused on what’s called “hyper-local” news — the evolution of classical printed news, adapted for the internet.

Based around the ideas of other big city newsblogs, windsoriteDOTca will be written by a team of six Windsor-loving authors and photographers, and will eventually feature comprehensive reviews and listings for some of Windsor and Essex County’s best Art Galleries, Theatres, Live Music Venues, Locally Owned Stores, as well as an enormous directory of creative artisans and crafters!

Today, January 18th 2010 is our “soft-launch” day where we’ll roll the site out to the public while we work on reviews, databasing, graphic tweaks — all while providing a few news stories each day!

Take a look at our comprehensive calendar of events in Windsor/Essex, and if you have a public event, go right ahead and submit it!  Events you submit will appear on the site after a short delay.

Now, here’s where we need your help:

Are you a local business owner?  Proprietor or representative of an arts establishment, or place where live music is played regularly?

If so, submit your venue details to windsoriteDOTca, and we’ll be by in a short while to do a full review of your place!

We have some great things planned here at windsoriteDOTca, things that appeal to Windsorites of all walks of life.
