Sunrise Bakery opened their new downtown location on June 1st.

The bakery took advantage of the Downtown Windsor BIA’s commercial rent subsidy program to open their downtown location, bringing fresh baked goods and exquisite desserts to Windsor’s city centre.

The bakery is a great place for downtown workers looking for a new place to check out for lunch. A variety of fresh green salads, bean salads, mousaka, hummus with pita, and artisan breads can all be enjoyed at the bakery. Guests can also indulge in one of the many delectable desserts offered, including cookies, pastries, macaroons, tarts, mini-cheesecakes, and gourmet cupcakes. Fresh coffee and cappuccino are also available.

Sunrise Bakery can make platters of desserts for events and specializes in making one-of-a-kind cakes, including elegant wedding cakes. For a full up-to-date portfolio of the creative cakes they can create you can visit their Facebook page.

The bakery’s other location includes Sunrise Bakery at 1395 Tecumseh Road East, which has been open for over nine years, and the more recently opened The Pastry Place at 3392 Dougall Avenue. The downtown location is at 30 University Avenue East and can be contacted by calling 519-915-9399. They are open Monday – Friday from 7am – 9pm, Saturday from 8am – 8pm, and Sunday from 10am – 4pm. You can check out their webpage for more information.
