Paranormal investigators, Spectral Solutions, are examining the possibility of spirits haunting Abars on the River.
Spectral Solutions is a non-profit paranormal investigative group from Windsor. Its goal is to examine possible occurences of spirit activity in and around Essex County.
On Feb. 14, Spectral Solutions spent the night in Abars, a local bar at the intersection of Lauzon Road and Riverside Drive. The group formed approximately two years ago and has been growing in popularity ever since. Chantel Trudelle and Tony Bagnarol, members of Spectral Solution, said they have a growing fan base in the area.

95.1FM and 100.7 FM The Rock is holding a relief benefit concert at the Blind Dog for the victims of the recent earthquakes in Haiti.
On Feb. 6, Blind Dog management will donate all proceeds, as well as a portion of the Bar Revenue, to the Canadian Red Cross.
The event will include many local talents featuring two stages. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the first act starting at 5:30 p.m. Attendees must be 19 years or older. Tickets are available at the Blind Dog box office as well as Dr. Disc for $10.

Salon Blu hair studio was host to Haircuts for Haiti on Jan. 23. From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., owner Erin Echlin, stylist Olio Lee and volunteers raised $820 from regular-priced haircuts. All proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti earthquake fund.

Salon Blu is hosting Haircuts for Haiti on Jan 23. in an effort to raise money for the Haiti disaster relief fund.
Erin Echlin, owner of Salon Blu, will be donating all money earned that day to the Red Cross.
“We already have bookings. We’ll probably have walk-ins too. Basically we want to raise as much money as possible to help. I think that’s really important,” said Echlin.
