The Special Investigations Unit has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against a Windsor Police Service officer in relation to the self-inflicted stabbing injuries sustained by a 27-year-old man in April 2017.

They say that while the man initially was reluctant to open his door to police, he eventually did so after repeated negotiations.

The man was then transported to hospital for treatment.
