A fire in Wallaceburg is under investigation.

Fire officials say that around 9am they were called to a fire in a multi unit building at 800 Wallace Street.

Chatham-Kent Fire crews were able to control and extinguish the fire quickly. Firefighters had to rescue at least 12 people from balconies,

The Ontario Fire Marshall office has been called into investigate.

There were no injuries.
