Child Hit By Vehicle In Leamington

A child was injured  in Downtown Leamington Thursday afternoon.

OPP say it happened at 5:50pm on Erie Street south near Mill Street.

An 8-year-old girl was struck by a motor vehicle and was subsequently transported to an area hospital suffering serious injuries.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators attended the scene and the investigation is continuing.

Erie Street South between Mill Street and Russell Street was closed for approximately three hours but has now been reopened.
