Windsor Police have laid charges after an altercation on a Transit Windsor bus.

Police say it happened around 8:45pm on Saturday March 18th, 2017 in area of Drouillard Rd and Seminole.

They say that a 50-year-old male was causing a disturbance on a Transit Windsor bus. The male was asked to leave the bus and he allegedly continued using inappropriate language and began to approach the bus driver.

A 20-year-old male passenger stepped between the two of them and a physical altercation ensued between the two of them and at one point the 50-year-old male allegedly brandished a knife. The 50-year-old male was subsequently pushed off the bus and he suffered a head injury from the fall.

The 20-year-old male was arrested but later released with no charges.

The 50-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon, weapon dangerous, and uttering threats. He was released on a promise to appear with a future court date.
