Amherstburg police say that just after 3pm on January 28th, 2017 they along with EMS were called to a residence on Kempt Street regarding a distraught male.

Police say that when they arrived, the male was in a state of anger and rage. Officers attempted to speak to the male who then fled to the basement of the residence.

Police continued to make verbal contact from the top of the stairwell with the male in the basement, and the male approached the officers from the bottom of the stairwell with two large swords in his hands, challenging the officers.
