The Job Shoppe, celebrated its 13th Anniversary Wednesday evening with the grand opening of its brand new 4,500 sq. ft. corporate headquarters located at 12137 Tecumseh Road East.

The modern, open concept office building is home to over 30 full-time employees, most of which made the short move from the previous Job Shoppe location on Lesperance Road.

The new location comes equipped with an orientation room which can host up to 35 people and new state-of-the-art equipment, as well as a second floor office area for current recruitment, marketing and accounting staff.

The move came as more of a need than a want for President and C.E.O Meighen Nehme, who has seen her business grow from a “one-woman shop” in 2003 to a leading staffing and recruitment firm in southwestern Ontario and Middle Tennessee.

“Even though we loved our previous space, we really started to out-grow it in mid-2015,” said president and CEO Meighen Nehme. “Once we saw a chance to move into a space in the core of a growing community, we jumped at the opportunity.”

The mayor of the Town of Tecumseh Gary McNamara was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting.

“It’s fantastic to see a local company expanding and growing in our region!” said The Mayor. “Not only has The Job Shoppe brought permanent jobs to our community through internal staff but also supports hundreds of community members in our town find employment.”

While the grand opening event was closed to the public, Meighen and her team at The Job Shoppe plan to have an open house event in early 2017.
