Windsor Police say that a suspicious vehicle call lead them to the seizure of a large quantity of drugs.

Police say that it was around 5:30am on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 when they were called to investigate a suspicious auto in the area of the 10200 block of Menard Street.

When officers arrived they found the vehicle stopped with the running lights on near the curb, with a portion of the vehicle sticking out into the travelled lane.

Officers found the driver slumped unconscious over the steering wheel and drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Officers woke the male and found that he had “care and control of the motor vehicle while being impaired by drug.”

The male was subsequently placed him under arrest, and when officers searched him they found and seized 3.7 grams of marijuana and $1,740.

Officers then located and seized 111 grams of suspect Crack Cocaine, 733 grams of suspect cocaine, three cell phones and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. The drugs seized are valued in excess of $84,000.

Derek Callahan, a 32-year-old male is charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle by drug, possession of marijuana and two Counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.
