Progress is being made on flood damaged material pick-up according to city officials.

The city says that so far all calls for pickup west of Walker Road have been completed.

East of Walker Road, crews have completed Forest Glade, streets from the eastern city limits west to Riverdale and north of Tecumseh Road, all of Little River Acres material has been removed as well as from streets between Pillette Road and Walker Road, and Grand Marais to Riverside Drive.

Areas being worked on this week include Fountain Blue, Riverside between Westminster and Riverdale.

They say that cews will only return to completed areas after every street has been passed through once. The city is also following the collections with a street sweeper.

Due to the amount of pickup material, all other service request responses will be delayed by up to two days, until the flood clean up is complete.

In addition, free drop off at the Central Depot will end tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at 5pm so that maximum resources can be focused on street collection.
