A Windsor man is facing charges after a kinfepoint robbery.

Police say aroun 8am on Tuesday September 13th, 2016 they were called to a residence located in the 1200 block of Windsor.

Officers arrived and spoke to the victim who advised that he was robbed at knifepoint by a male who was known to him. Investigation revealed that the suspect entered the residence and began arguing with the complainant. The suspect then held a knife to the complainant and demanded some of his personal property. After obtaining these items the suspect allegedly knocked the complainant to the ground and took his phone.

Officers located the suspect talking to another complainant in the area of Park Street West and Bruce Avenue and the suspect fled the area. Officers engaged in a foot pursuit and stopped the suspect in a nearby parking lot.

A taser was used by police, and they were able to place the suspect under arrest without further incident.

Investigation also revealed that the suspect had conditions not to associate with either of the complainants.

Bechir Khamassi, a 28-year-old male from Windsor is charged with robbery with a weapon, three counts of breach of probation and three counts of breach of recognizance.
