A Windsor man is facing several charges after he was found with a gun in his car.

Police say that around 5:3opm on Friday September 2nd, 2016 they were called to the 2600 block of Rose Court for a possible impaired driver.

Information was received that a male appeared to be intoxicated and was seen going from the passenger seat to the driver’s seat and putting a bandana over his face.

An officer arrived and observed the male matching the description get out of the vehicle. The suspect appeared disorientated and under the influence of an intoxicating substance. While speaking to the male, the officer observed a lunch bag with the handle of a handgun sticking out on the passenger seat and advised other officers on scene to place the male under arrest. Upon searching the male officers located a glass pipe with suspect methamphetamine. Officers also located 40 rounds of ammunition in the lunch box along with the revolver handgun.

Michael Damm, a 28-year-old male from Essex County is charged with possession of a loaded firearm without a licence, occupy a motor vehicle with a firearm, unsafe transportation of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine.
