Poppy, female 51lbs born April 11, 2014 who was rescued at 3 weeks old and spent the last year in the shelter and deemed unadoptable as most potential adopters thought she wasn’t up to their “beauty standards” Poppy gets along with dogs and cats. Poppy came to us from BETA in Lebanon.

From Poppy’s Foster Family,
Poppy is a dog who has one goal in mind for her forever home – to find love, and be loved. Since coming all the way from Lebanon, Poppy has blossomed into the fun pup she is today – wanting to play fetch for hours, being the big spoon during naptime, swimming, cuddling her foster-cat-brother and wrestling with her foster dog-brothers. She does need to be reminded sometimes that not everyone wants to be jumped on when they come visit, and likes to hoard “things” – she never chews, just carries items (shoes, clothes, toys, sometimes books) that can comfort her while she sleeps. This fun-loving girl is ready to leap into her new home where heartbreak can be the last thing on her mind – and her confidence can flourish!

More information on how to adopt from For The Love of Paws can be found on their website.
