A Lakeshore teen was arrested after allegedly going on a multi-jurisdictional crime spree.
Police were called Sunday July 31st at 11:45 to Branton Crescent in Lakeshore after a homeowner reported that he had found a youth who had broken into his garage.
After a short foot chase, the homeowner had the teen in custody on a neighbouring property.
Police say during a short tussle, the youth allegedly tried to deploy bear spray at the homeowner.
Police placed the 15 year old youth and an adult female under arrest.
The investigation revealed that the two accused were involved in the following additional incidents earlier that day: a Chevrolet truck was stolen from the City of Windsor at 8am, there was a theft of $102.00 of fuel from an Esso station in Lakeshore at 4pm, and police report a break and enter and theft of a mountain bike in the Town of Lasalle at 10:30pm.
The fifteen year old Lakeshore male has been charged with failure to comply with recognizance x 2, fail to comply with a sentence order x 4, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, breaking and entering a place with intent to commit an indictable offence, breaking and entering a place and committing an indictable offence, theft, trespassing at night, unauthorized possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance under 30 grams.
Additionally, Vanessa Bergoine, age 29 of Windsor, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, and breaking and enter a dwelling house.
