An alleged drunk driver was arrested this weekend on Pelee Island.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stationed on Pelee Island received a report of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of East-West Road and East Shore Road on Saturday at 8:45am.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and allegedly exhibited signs of impairment.

He was issued a Roadside Screening Device Demand and was subsequently issued a three day driver’s licence suspension.

It was also determined that the vehicle he was driving, had been taken without prior consent of the owner.

Ben Bradley, age 22 of Kingsville was charged with take a motor vehicle without consent and careless driving.
